Ernest Ng received his Master of Architecture with design distinction from State University of New York (Buffalo) School of Architecture & Planning in 2009, and his B.A in Architecture from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2003, with a year of exchange study at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Prior to his graduate studies in Buffalo, NY, he collaborated with Steven Holl Architects in New York City, working on the Losium Winery Hotel in Langenlois , Austria and the New York University School of Philosophy in New York City.

Since graduation, Ernest has taught at Mississippi State University School of Architecture, Starkville, MS for two years as a visiting faculty, and collaborated with Sauerbruch Hutton in Berlin, Germany.
